Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup

About the series

With Larry ten Voorde as champion and Max van Splunteren as rookie champion we took home two major trophies in 2020! Team GP Elite competes with 5 cars in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and during our debut season we showed why we are in to win it. It's an interesting competition for all stakeholders. The calendar is the same as that of the European Formula 1 races and broadcasting live on television on Ziggo Sport and Eurosport.

Team GP Elite drivers are clearly recognizable with their orange 911 GT3 Cup cars. In a field full of talent and experience, our drivers measure themselves against the best in the world. The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is a beautiful and strong platform at the highest level, in which every driver gets a fair chance to use their own potential and keep raising the bar. We tell you more about our drivers and this series below.

Team GP Elite

We finished the 2020 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season with Larry and Max as champions. This was the icing on the cake for each and everyone involved. Engineers, mechanics, drivers, trainers and sponsoring partners have celebrated the victories together. After an intensive pre-season, with made-to-measure testing and training programs by specialists who had teamed up with us it all came together on track. Especially after the 1-2 win at Silverstone we had found the sweet spot. In Monza the boys did what they had to do: bring the trophies home and they did. All members and stakeholders at Team GP Elite are in for the long run, so this success is just a first step which we want to continue for years to come.

In the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup experienced drivers can fight with the best, while the other drivers have the opportunity to learn from the drivers at front. This concept is part of our entire approach at GP Elite. With one step at a time, and fully supported, each driver will continue a personal journey in which he/she will develop towards the highest possible level. Because Team GP Elite has got 5 entries in the Supercup there’s room to literally roll out our philosophy and to let drivers enjoy this platform to the fullest and their drive to perfection. In 2021 we will continue this process and we aim for the highest possible results.

Racing just before Formula 1 in the international top class of Porsche on legendary circuits is the ultimate dream. Team GP Elite has made it its mission to make this a reality for drivers who want to grow towards professional motorsport. With five cars in our team, there is room for sponsors who are a great fit with GP Elite, committed to Dutch motorsport and want lots of brand awareness.

The Supercup is worldwide very popular because of the fair fight in similar cars and close, 30 minutes racing. Every race can watch it live in the Netherlands via Ziggo Sport (open channel), worldwide via Europsport and via the F1 TV Pro app (for subscribers). The F1 TV app also broadcasts the free practice on Friday and qualifying on Saturday. The broadcasts on Ziggo Sport attract an average of 135,000 viewers.
