About endurance racing

Endurance racing has grown into one of the most iconic disciplines in motorsport, with legendary events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona shaping its history over the past century.

Races of 6, 8, 12 or 24 hours push every element to the limit. Driver line-ups fight for victory while car performance and reliability come under constant pressure. At the same time, the stamina of the drivers and the speed and precision of the mechanics are tested lap after lap. Top international series such as the FIA WEC, the Creventic 24H Series and the IMSA SportsCar Championship represent the pinnacle of endurance racing.

Endurance races are major fan events, hosted at circuits all over the world. They are often combined with sprint championships like the Porsche Carrera Cups, creating maximum exposure and a packed schedule on and off track. Within Team GP Elite, a unique mix of family atmosphere and elite performance culture sets the tone in the endurance paddock. That combination builds focus, trust and consistently high-level results.

That approach delivers. At the start of 2022, Team GP Elite took victory in the 24H Dubai 992 Pro class during the team’s very first 24-hour race. Later that year, the step to the GT3 class followed with the Porsche 911 GT3 R. In early 2024, the team dominated again – this time in the 12H Mugello with the Porsche 992 GT3 R.

Endurance racing has become a core pillar of the Team GP Elite programme. It clearly leaves everyone hungry for more.

Teamwork

During endurance races, no driver is ever on their own. At Team GP Elite, every stint is backed by an experienced crew of race engineers, data and video analysts, and driver coaches. Data, onboard footage and telemetry are continuously reviewed to find the ideal set-up for every phase of the race.

At the same time, our driver coaches work with each driver on braking points, lines and racecraft, making sure every metre of asphalt is used to the fullest. That close collaboration between driver, engineer and coach makes it possible to consistently push towards the maximum achievable result in endurance racing.

Behind the scenes, the mechanics’ team ensures that every GT and Cup car performs at its best in all conditions. Parts are tested, set-ups are refined and the car is prepared in detail for each endurance race. Between sessions, drivers receive targeted coaching based on data and video, so improvements can be directly converted into lap time.

With a unique mix of family atmosphere and high-performance mentality, Team GP Elite creates the ideal environment for drivers to develop confidently and professionally within top-level endurance racing.
