Endurance Racing

About endurance racing

Over the past century, endurance racing has become an integral part of motorsports with famous races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona. Long races of 6, 8, 12 or 24 hours for example, during which drivers fight for the win in teams. Not only are performance and reliability of the cars pushed to the limit, the endurance of the drivers and speed of the pitcrew are also tested. Well-known championships within endurance racing include the FIA WEC, Creventic 24H Series and IMSA SportsCar Championship.

Endurance races are often large events, attracting international crowds. They take place around the world and are often held together with support races such as the Porsche Carrera Cups. Within Team GP Elite we have a family-like atmosphere and top sports mentality that together contribute to the success of the team. In 2022 this helped win the 24H Dubai in the 992 Pro class, during the team’s first 24 hour race. At the end of 2022 we moved up to the GT3 class in the Porsche 911 GT3 R. In 2024, the team dominated the 12H Mugello in the Porsche 992 GT3 R. And we’re ready for more!

Teamwork

During endurance races, drivers of Team GP Elite are supported by experienced engineers, data- and video analysts and driver coaches. Data and onboards are analyzed to find the right set-up, while the driver coaches help to optimize every inch of the track. Great teamwork in order to achieve the best possible results.

The team of mechanics takes care of the car, making sure it performs optimally under all circumstances. Various parts are tested to make sure the car is fully prepared for endurance racing. Between session, the driver is coached using data. Because of the family-like atmosphere and top sports mentality, an environment is created in which every driver can further develop themselves carefree.
